How does roulette work?

All these rules and numbers can be quite overwhelming, but don’t stress, we are soon ready. To finish off, I would like to tell you which are my preferred roulette betting strategies that have worked out for me.
The Martingale – This is the easiest and most popular strategy that uses the ‘you lose – you double’ rule. If you were to bet $5 and lose, you bet $10 on your next spin, if you lose then bet $20. In this way, if you win the second bet, you regain your previous losses. Keep doubling until your losing streak ends. This, however, would not work well in casinos with the maximum bet limits, as at a point you might find that you can no longer double your bet.
The Fibonacci – This is based on the famous Fibonacci sequence. Here, each number is a sum of the previous two numbers: 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34 and so on. Using this sequence, you start with $1, then repeat it, then if you lose you bet $2 if you lose again bet $3 and so on. Keep increasing the bet until you win.
The Labouchere – This method is more complicated than the previous two. Start off by creating a sequence of numbers, for example, 1,2,3,4, or any other sequence you wish. When you bet, you should bet the amount that is the sum of the first and last numbers, so in this case bet $5, as this is the sum of 1 and 4. If you lose this bet, add another number to the end of the sequence and repeat. So if you lose this time, you will bet $6 (1+5). Should you win, remove the numbers you used. Once you have only one number left, that that amount only.
